Each bud of the Poppy Suspension is a testament to exclusive craftsmanship, distinguishing itself for its extraordinary lightness and its uniqueness. These elements are shaped through the innovative patented technique of Tecnoformatura (Technoforming), developed in collaboration with Marc Sadler, which involves manipulating the material using heat.
Made from technopolymer, the poppies are manually modeled by the "Sarte della Luce" (Seamstresses of Light) in a workshop just outside Rome, ensuring the creation of unrepeatable and non-mass-replicable shapes. Each flower diffuses the LED light with surprising delicacy thanks to three layers of our exclusive Lentiflex material, joined by a central detail that enhances its structure and distinctive character. For an artistic touch that makes every composition even more exclusive, a percentage of the flowers (one in seven) is airbrushed by hand. Each flower is connected in series to the next via two slender and evocative silver-plated copper wires, which conduct low-voltage electricity and give the ensemble a visually impactful scenic and poetic effect.
The integrated LED source is designed to be dimmable with PWM or Triac Trailing Edge systems, offering the flexibility to adjust light intensity and create the desired atmosphere. However, it is essential to remember that while it is a dimmable lamp, this functionality is operational only if the electrical system to which it is connected has been adequately prepared for such light variation. Furthermore, to maximize installation and light control flexibility, optional accessories are available, such as the six-meter cable kit (to be ordered with the lamp), or the predisposition for DALI and Casambi systems.
