Frisbi Flos conceived by Achille Castiglioni is an atypical pendant lamp. Creating Frisbi Flos Castiglioni not only realizes a suspension lamp but a lamp with a double illuminating function. On one side, its conic hole allows a direct and precise illumination. Then its disk perforated actually to let pass the direct light that also allows to spread the light in the whole room, and through a single light bulb. From this "frisbeee" suspended to thin steel cables the name of the lamp is born, reproducing the effect of a flying disk such as the one of the famous outside game.
The black bar that supports the device confers to the lamp a triangular outline, lengthening of this way its spherical profile.
His few elements remember the side of essentiality that wants to give Castiglioni to its creations. Besides it will facilitate the assemblage of the suspension.
The fixed distances are dictated by the rigid bar and from the cables that support the flat diffuser in opaline Polymethyl methacrylate outdistance it from the dome shade reflector polished, nickel-plated, and zapon-varnished stamped sheet metal, painted gloss-white inside.
