The base is ethereal with four tapered branches, and is strong enough to hold the glass top perfectly stable. The base is set with a central chrome bronze ring, like a precious jewel. Blast is a tribute to lightness and formal purity. It reflects Starck's obsession with creating maximum effect with minimal material, embodied in the transparent polycarbonate base. The bevelled edges of the glass top is available in soft and translucent colours, which show off the beautiful base.
