Aella's shape has not changed over time. It's one of the first design by Leucos, and its name, just like the trademark, comes from Ancient Greek. "Aella" was the name of the first Amazon warrior who lunged at Heracles, and is the Ancient Greek word for whirlwind, whose shape is echoed in the lines of the lamp and in the quality of light.Blown according to trading by skilled artisans, the authentic glare is obtained through the model of the reversed cone, which bounces the light around like a vortex, while the transparent cup catches the reflections from below.
