Saarinen Dining Tables In his purist approach to architecture and interior design, Eero Saarinen sought the essential idea and reduced it to the most effective structural solution within an overall unity of design. “The underside of typical chairs and tables makes a confusing, unrestful world,” explained Saarinen. “I wanted to clear up the slum of legs.” In his pedestal collection, which includes a dining, coffee and side table, Saarinen realized his ideal of formal unity. The tables are available with laminate, marble, or veneer tops with a base in black, white or platinum finish.

Base: original sketch Saarinen in treated aluminum and protected with Rilsan.
Plain: in rolled plastic white or marble. The marbles are of the best quality and selected for eliminating the structural defects. The finish transparent polyester also protects from the stains.
The difference in height of 1 cm, among the plan in rolled and that with the plan in marble, is due to the thickness of the same plan.

Marble = thickness 2 cms
Rolled = thickness 3 cms
